SUMMARY:Citizens' Climate Lobby: A Practical & Effective Bipartisan Climate Change Solution
DESCRIPTION:Come hear about the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act that was introduced into the House of Representatives in January. It's way more than changing light bulbs. It's a market-based solution that protects low- and middle-income folks from increasing energy prices while spurring the growth of a clean-energy economy.\n\nThe presenters will be from Citizens' Climate Lobby\, a nonpartisan group who works in a respectful way to find common ground on climate change with their elected officials\, Republicans and Democrats alike.\n\nRick Thompson was in the Navy for eight years and then worked at Corning Inc. for 25 years before retiring. He and his wife Jean live on Keuka Lake. They have two children and four grandchildren.\n\nNancy Jacobson was a Biology teacher for 24 years before retiring. She has been with Citizens' Climate Lobby since 2014 and is now co-lead of the NY23 Chapter. She has two nieces and five grand-nieces and -nephews.
